A powerful natural approach to eye and skin rejuvenation!
Microneedling, Polynucleotides and Phototherapy - HELLO! The dream combination that your skin needs.
At Fitzgerald Private Clinic, we are at the forefront of the restorative skin treatment revolution, the key to seamless youthfulness.
What do the majority of our treatments and product recommendations have in common? They all stimulate fibroblast activity to increase the production of Collagen and Elastin.
Introducing: SkinTrinity. This treatment trio of rejuvenation heroes has been developed by Dr Deirdre & Dr Róisín, and is exclusive to Fitzgerald Private Clinic Dublin & Donegal.
By combining two proven modalities—microneedling and polynucleotides (the little building blocks of crucial DNA) —we double-stimulate Collagen and Elastin production, bringing you smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin, with the Polynucleotides offering a transformative enhancement to the established microneedling procedure.
In order to accelerate healing and reduce downtime, we incorporate Dermalux LED technology, providing an additional boost for optimal results.
Microneedling, you may know, is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy and is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to harness the skin’s natural healing processes. At Fitzgerald Private Clinic, the treatment is performed using the state-of-the-art SkinPen device. This procedure involves creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural Collagen and Elastin production, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and enlarged pores.
The result? Enhanced skin texture, tone, and an overall radiant glow.
The application of Polynucleotides takes it to the next level.
Polynucleotides offer a transformative enhancement to the microneedling procedure. When applied via Microneedling, these molecules penetrate deeper skin layers. Their presence promotes enhanced skin rejuvenation and revitalisation. The science behind it is compelling: microneedling enhances the absorption of products like polynucleotides by creating tiny microchannels in the skin. This deep penetration ensures that the skin benefits from the rejuvenating properties of polynucleotides, leading to firmer, smoother, and more revitalised skin.
FAQs
How do Polynucleotide work?
Polynucleotides are the latest revolutionary tools in regenerative medicine that work on a cellular level to repair tissue and boost skin quality.
First and foremost polynucleotides are not dermal fillers; they are known as bio-regenerators, bio-stimulators, or bio-revitalisers because they have a natural stimulatory effect on the skin to kick-start improvement in skin quality and achieve a more youthful appearance.
Polynucleotides (PN) are powerful, naturally occurring molecules that play a crucial role in skin rejuvenation. Found within the nucleic acids of our cells, these molecules are known for their remarkable ability to heal and repair skin tissue.
Polynucleotides trigger the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.
Collagen provides structural support and firmness to the skin, while Elastin contributes to its elasticity. The decline in these proteins due to ageing leads to wrinkles and skin laxity. Polynucleotides help reverse this by boosting the production of these essential proteins.
Polynucleotides also calm inflammation and rebalance melanocyte activity to create an even and refreshed skin tone.
What happens during the treatment?
Skin Trinity is a full face treatment that can also help to rejuvenate and revitalise the delicate under eye area.
It is important to wear no makeup attending this appointment.
The skin is assessed and a numbing cream is applied.
SkinPen is a medically engineered ergonomic device that utilizes 14 Japanese stainless steel surgical grade needles to deliver effective vertical skin needling. Different to manual rollers, SkinPen’s precise needle depth settings allow for bespoke targeted individual treatments whilst minimising trauma (roller devices use only one depth and can create ‘slits’ on the skin that can increase downtime).
During the microneedling procedure, the SkinPen device is passed over the targeted areas, creating microscopic punctures. This process prompts the skin to repair itself. The addition of the Polynucleotide formula during this process brings it to the region of the skin that it needs to get to in order to be effective. As the skin heals, it undergoes remodelling, resulting in improvements such as reduced fine lines and wrinkles, minimised scars and hyperpigmentation, and overall enhanced skin texture and tone.
The treatment is completed with Dermalux LED Light Therapy, which is a non-invasive treatment that uses clinically proven therapeutic light energy to trigger the skins natural rejuvenation and repair processes without pain or downtime.
This unique skin treatment utilises clinically proven Blue 415nm, Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm wavelengths with the latest generation bespoke LEDs to ensure focused and optimised penetration of light into the skin both individually. By utilising different combinations and intensities of light, Dermalux can be tailored to deliver the most effective results for each individual skin concern being treated.
Is there downtime?
Post treatment the skin will be red, warm and possibly a little puffy. You will also experience skin tightness.
The main redness improves over the following 3-4 hours, and overall redness usually subsides within 24-48 hours. Skin flaking may also occur in the first few days. These are all normal responses.
Who should have this treatment?
Firstly, microneedling improves the skin’s quality, texture and appearance. Improving the quality of skin through collagen stimulation refers to skin that looks healthier, firmer and more youthful due to the enhanced support structure beneath the surface. Microneedling supercharged with Polynucleotides is a versatile treatment that can address a wide range of skin concerns, leading to:
Softened fine lines and wrinkles
Brighter undereye dark circles
Improved Hydration
Firmer, smoother more radiant skin
Diminished pigmentation and discolouration.
A refined and smaller pore size.
Help improve scarring: acne scarring, surgical scarring and stretch marks.
If you are unsure or have any questions, it can be helpful before embarking on a microneedling journey, to book a consultation with our Advanced Skin Therapists, rather than simply booking online and arriving on the day. This initial meeting allows for the creation of a personalised plan tailored to your specific goals, as different skin concerns necessitate distinct protocols for optimal results. A consultation ensures that your treatment is effective, safe, and aligned with your individual needs.
Who cannot have this treatment?
This treatment should be avoided in certain situations including the following:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Anyone with fish allergy (product is derived from salmon/trout without harm)
Roaccutane therapy within the last 6 months
Irritated/inflamed skin in the treatment area (eg very active acne/rosacea)
Current skin infection eg coldsores, fungal, bacterial
History of cancer in the previous 5 years
Bleeding dysfunction and use of blood thinners
History of keloid scars
What makes SkinPen Unique?
Unlike the majority of microneedling devices, SkinPen™ has passed over 90 validated requirements to receive CE and FDA certification. It also uses a disposable Bio-Sheath and sealed cartridge system to prevent cross-contamination. The patented technology delivers vertical channels into the skin minimising damage, downtime and discomfort.
How may treatments are needed?
For best results, three SkinTrinity treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart are recommended.
It takes time for the Collagen to get to work, so results will be noticeable a few weeks after your completed course and usually last 6-9 months.
As with any Collagen stimulating treatment, results vary depending on the ability of an individual's skin to respond.
