What is the HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a medical-grade device offering 6 facials in a 1 hour treatment.

What treatments does HydraFacial offer?
HydraFacial can be used for overall skin rejuvenation. It can also be used to address specific skin issues such as acne, ageing and pigmentation. The extraction phase is fantastic for removal of blackheads and improving pore size. This treatment is most commonly used on the face, but can be tailored for use on the neck, décolleté and more.

How often can I have a HydraFacial?
Depending on the desired outcome of your treatment, your skin professional will discuss the number of treatments and interval intervals you may like to have. With our ‘Skin Health for Life’ protocol we aim for general skin rejuvenation and this can be repeated every 4-6 weeks for as many treatments as you desire. For our more in-depth Acne, Pigmentation and Anti-Ageing protocols we recommend treatments every 1-2 weeks, for a minimum of 6 treatments, for best outcome.
Who is not suitable for this treatment?
Roaccutane treatment within the last 6 months
Active skin inflammation (eg papulopustular rosacea, severe active acne)
Active skin infection (eg herpes simplex/coldsores)
Certain medications (our Doctors can discuss this with you)
Some previous cancers
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Allergy to shellfish (one product contains glucosamine)
Allergy to aspirin (salicylic acid present)
What are the risks and potential side effects?
It is normal for your skin to be pink after treatment. This settles usually within 20 minutes to a beautiful glow. Rarely people may experience a breakout or red skin/itch in the days following treatment, but this settles quickly.
Aftercare
Avoiding sun and wearing adequate sunscreen is always important for skin health, but even mores in the week following your HydraFacial treatment. It is important to avoid makeup until the day after your treatment, if possible, for best benefit. Skincare products that contain acids eg glycolic/lactic/salicylic/tretinoin etc should be stopped for 48 hours before, and avoided for 48 hours after treatment (we can advise you if you are unsure what your home products contain). Please ask our medical staff if you are planning another treatment eg dermal filler, laser etc and we will guide you with regard to the best timing.
HydraFacial Keravive Scalp Treatment
HydraFacial Keravive is a unique, relaxing treatment designed to cleanse, stimulate, nourish, and hydrate the scalp for fuller and healthier - looking hair.
The treatment removes dirt, oil, flakes, dead skin cells and impurities from the surface of the scalp and from hair follicles and stimulates scalp circulation.
